Privacy Policy
StudioInk ("we", "us") operates ResumeAI, a Canva app that uses AI to analyze and improve resumes. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
1. What We Collect
Account data: your Canva user ID (from Canva's signed authentication token) and, if you purchase a plan or pack, the email address you check out with.
Plan & usage data: your current plan (Free, Basic, or Pro), subscription status, and credit balance.
Resume & job description content: the resume text, job description, and (for rewrites) individual resume section text you submit for analysis. This content is sent to our AI provider, Google (Gemini API), to generate your analysis, rewrites, and cover letters. We do not use this content to train AI models, and we do not store it beyond what's needed to return the result to you in the app.
2. How We Use It
We use this data to:
- Generate your resume analysis, section rewrites, and cover letters
- Determine your plan and track your credit balance
- Process payments and send billing-related emails
- Respond to support requests
- Detect and prevent abuse of the Service
3. Who We Share It With
We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that run ResumeAI on our behalf:
- Google (Gemini API) — processes the resume and job description text you submit to generate analysis, rewrites, and cover letters
- Whop — payment processing and subscription management
- Supabase — database hosting for account, plan, and credit records
- Resend — transactional email delivery (e.g. subscription confirmations)
- Canva — the platform ResumeAI runs on and authenticates through
We may also disclose data if required by law or in connection with a business transfer (e.g. a merger or acquisition).
4. Data Retention
We keep your account and credit-balance data for as long as your account is active. Resume and job description text submitted for analysis is processed to generate a result and is not retained by us afterward, beyond what our AI provider needs to complete the request. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, email support@studioink.app. We aim to respond within 30 days.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
